The Madeira Story Centre, is a Museum situated in the heart of Funchal´s Old Town. Visitors can learn about all the History of Madeira in a way that will make you feel yourself a part of it!
The contents of the Museum are rigorous and detailed in order to give you the best possible information about the History and Culture of Madeira; from its volcanic origins to hydroplanes, information about its discovery and even the attacks from ferocious pirates, the displays are informative and told with a degree of accuracy that you expect and demand.
The Madeira Story Centre includes a large Handcraft shop with regional goods and souvenirs as well as a typical restaurant situated on a panoramic terrace with capacity for 200 people, promoting Madeiran gastronomy.
There are also thematic gardens where you can see the typical plants and flowers of Madeira, overlooking a magnificent view of Funchal´s historic city centre.
